V锥流量计是一种差压式流量计，工作原理同于标准节流装置。其结构设计是流体扫过型结构，不可能截留流体中任何夹带的气，液、或固相污物，非常适用于脏污流体的流量测量，如焦炉煤气、湿气体等。尤其在测量高炉煤气时，有自清洁作用，引压管不易堵塞。
